Change frames, I don't think there's really a difference in the frames themselves. I guess you could probably just change out the front end and rear end. Then badges of course, I'm not sure though. My uncles got a 78 f250 crew cab cool trucks man

You can eithe do a body swap to an f250 supercab frame or do a drivetrain swap which is rear end front end and all springs/shocks and any 73-79 bed should work f250 or f150 just all depends on your wheel base

You can change the rear leaf springs and put the Dana 60 from a 3/4 ton under your truck. Have to change the yokes on your drive line to fit the 60. Unless you can grab the rear driveline from a 3/4 ton super cab long bed. Then pull the front spindles, brakes, and springs from a 3/4 ton. They'll bolt in place of your 1/2 ton parts. Same front twin ibeam between 1/2-3/4 ton. Frames are the same. I'm planning to do this but with 4x4 parts.

ok I have made up my mind to go with a f250-350 4x4 frame. After seeing some pics I am really impressed. There seem to be a lot of donar vehicles around that would fit this. So the next question is what frames etc will interchange with the 75 supercab longbed? My research says that a 4x4 supercab was not produced in 75, but it was in later years. What should I look for? Will a crewcab 4x4 frame etc work? I do want to go with the full length bed. Also will the 460 I now have work with the trans etc?

can anyone tell me what color the number 4 in the VIN is ? I looked it up on a chart someone had posted but it only listed alphabet type codes and nothing numeric. (1975 F150 Super Cab)

the spot on the VIN tag for color only has the number "4" there is no 4z or z4 or anything else just the number "4" all by itself.

All 4 of those are a variation of a green or yellow green. Maybe you still have the tag on your fire wall in the engine bay.
