Default XLT 302A - Does the BLIS Include Trailer Coverage?

Been searching for ages, checking the order guides (2022) etc.

I can't seem to figure out if a 302A has trailer coverage on the BLIS system. I know it has BLIS as part of the Co-Pilot 360 2.0. But it doesn't mention trailer coverage.

I see in the order guide under Lariats "BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow Coverage (BLIS® sensor in LED Taillamp)"

Can you clarify for me if 302A has BLIS trailer coverage or do you need to be in a Lariat to get the trailer BLIS?

EDIT: Looks like maybe trailer BLIS comes with the trailer tow package or max tow? Ford Website " Smart Trailer Tow Connector includes BLIS with Trailer Tow Coverage where BLIS is Available"

I have an XLT 302A with the trailer tow package. While I haven't tried any trailering with it yet as I picked it up less than a month ago, I did not see any additional hardware included that would support BLIS on the trailer. My guess is the truck side supports it but you would need to purchase an additional kit for your trailer to take advantage of it.

You get BLIS coverage if you have the trailer tow package. I have 302a and trailer tow package. There are no kits or additional hardware that is needed for BLIS coverage of the trailer. You set your trailer length in sync and you’re good to go.

Definitely good to know. Thanks!

I've towed many times with my 21 xlt/302a.

Measure the length of the trailer and include the type of braking system when you set each trailer up in your head unit. Each trailer is remembered by the name you assign to it.

So when you hitch up the trailer, its data is already there. And yes BLIS does automatically adapt to the length of the trailer. Eliminating the guessing game of "how far back is that guy in the other lane is it safe to change lanes?" is just another way the F150 reduces the stress of towing.

Have 2 trailer settings saved in the 22 XLT 302a with bliss and trailer towing package.

1rst all trailers with out electric brakes set out to maximum trailer length.
2nd is for trailers with electric brakes also set out to maximum trailer length.
Reasoning KISS (keep it simple stupid) and a little wiggle room on my side is not a bad thing.

I actually can’t get it to work, 22 301a with trailer tow package. Have set trailer length for camper and boat. Camper just doesn’t work at all, have message saying “trailer connected, blis system deactivated” or something along that line, for my boat, the blis works while I tow, but judging by when the indicator light up, it definitely didn’t account for my trailer. Have entered trailer size for both trailers.
