Angry Wrecked already...

188 miles on the clock and hit a deer. It's not horrible, it's drivable, but I'm just pissed. In my 51 years, I have never hit a deer before. May be borrowing trouble, but I am hoping parts are available. Seems like parts for everything else aren't. Front bumper, front crash bar, front drivers fender and there is a small dent in the drivers door they can probably work out. Who knows what is behind there that may be damaged.

On a positive note, it does drive well down the road and the lights work. Going to the body shop tonight for him to look it over. Any guesses? LOL

Ugh it hurts just reading that. Glad you're okay and hopefully it gets sorted out quickly.

Bummer! I just took my 2010 in for a complete power steering rework, at a Ford dealer near Phoenix. They ordered parts from all over. Took 3 weeks. But, they did finally get it done.

Sorry to hear. I tried to see if I could order extended running boards from parts dept, they were in the parts system already $700 each side, ugh, but they weren't sure how long it would take to get them, prob a long time they said.. Good luck.
Did you at least get to keep the deer? LOL

At least it's drive able but a major bummer. If it happens to me I'll immediately trade it as is and drive off with another one.

Was it dark out, and were you wearing sunglasses when it happened? 😎

Sorry to hear about the truck. Glad you're OK.

I have been waiting 6 weeks for both of the air deflectors under the front bumper to be replaced under warranty. Both back ordered. The lower deflector caught on the upper deflector and tried to retract in front of the upper deflector. It warped the lower deflector and left permanent marks where it pushed against the edge of the upper. Since they are on backorder I took off the lower because it looked like crap sticking in front of the upper. I was in the body shop business 2004 to 2008 and I remember when the new Silverado came out we had one in the shop waiting on parts for several months. It was a front end hit and wasnt driveable. The owner was fortunate that someone else hit him or he would of only had rentaql car coverage for 30 days.

Keep us posted.
