Anyone having any issues with the charging pad and cases for an Iphone 17. I had an Iphone 10 with a case and had no issues. I just upgraded to the 17 and added a case that said it would work with wireless charging but it doesn't. If I take the case off, the charging works. I am replacing the case with a different brand to see if that helps, but just wanted to see if this was a known Ford issue before I go through a bunch of cases. This is for a '23 Lariat if it is a year dependent issue.

 

my phone with an otterbox case works fine in my dads 2024 escape when i tried it, what i don't like about it is how warm the charger makes my phone

 

My 17 charges with a case (a credit card case at that) in my wifes bronco. I don't use it because, as previously stated, all it does it heat the phone up because it charges at such a slow rate. I just get used to plugging mine in.

 

I bought the Apple case for my iPhone 17 and it works fine.

 

From December, when I bought the truck, until last week, the wireless charger worked great. Starting this week, it has started to fail more regularly and requires more exact placement. I haven't seen any software updates push down that would narrow the window on variation (or something....), so perhaps it is getting less powerful over time? I'm just trying to speculate what could be happening. iPhone14 w/thin case.

 

Otterbox works great with wireless charging.

 

I ordered a different case. Hopefully, it will work.
