Default Wipers

I’m looking for some advice on how to correct a problem with my wipers. After the wiper arm and motor recall my driver side wiper hits the pillar. I’ve taken it back to the dealer on 4 separate occasions and they have never been able to correct the problem.

The wiper-arms are keyed so I can’t manually adjust them. Can I knock the keys out without causing any issues, or is there a way to adjust the home position in settings? As they are probably 5-10 degrees outside home.

Sounds like a bad install. Did you check to see if the alignment key is still there? After 4 trips to your dealer over this simple issue, I have to say they suck and you need to find another dealer straight away.

The keys are still installed, I find most shops have gone down hill. The only reason I keep going there is the truck has a life-time power train warranty.

You can remove the keys and adjust the wiper arms, mine have been removed for 5 yrs now.
Wipers work fine without them and will even clear snow from the windshield.

Hello! Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you with this wiper concern.

I appreciate the offer but I took care of the adjustments earlier this week when I put a new set of Bosch Icons on. However we are having a problem with our 2021 ford explore platinum the computer keeps going out. It was replaced once and just had the backup camera recall and was reprogrammed to try and fix blue/black screening on it. The fix didn’t seem to take and the computer seems to be going again and my wife is very upset about it. We’re really tired of dealing with it and keep debating trading it in on a f350 but we currently not in the best position credit wise at the moment so I don’t think ford credit will approve it. If you can pull some magic there we’d take that.
