Ahh yes, very good point. I also keep my tanks full of orange RainX fluid. It smooths out the wipers on the glass, and really makes it easier to clear the bugs. And of course, it beads and sheds rain great too.

Yeah, it does do that. I used it on my last truck. But, it also seems to make the glass smeary and I didn't like that. I will stick to the cheap stuff with this truck.

To each their own and it depends on what you like

I have gotten literal years out of the Bosch Icons on my 2009 F150, I replaced them when I bought the truck in 2014, transferred them over to my 2019 I bought in 19, and they just died last fall.

In extreme temps like you probably experience it can come down to keeping the windshield clear OR not cooking inside. It really isn't a factor of the wipers themselves, as you describe it (freezing up).
RainX tends to help as others have noted.

Does anyone have a link for the Bosch Blares for a 2022 F150?
I can't find them anywhere.

I have silicone/ceramic made by Trico on my 16 Ford Focus. It is doing well with them.

I just bought 2 sets for my daughter for a 17 Ford Edge, and 15 Expedition. They put Rain X wipers on, but are complaining about performance. I just put RainX treatment, and Trico silicone ceramic blades on the Expedition. I need to do the edge next. I did my truck recently, but have not driven it much.
I'll have more to add on these 3 vehicles as a little time goes by. I live north of Seattle, so no shortage of rain..........

I priced the Trico silicone ceramics at Amazon. They were higher than Rockauto by a fair amount. Though Rock does get you on shipping. I bought a pair for the Edge, and Expedition for just under $80.
Trico claims 3x longer life. They also show them as the top tier in the wipers they carry.
