Default Windshield crack

I got a crack in my windshield along the edge, anyone know if it would be covered under warranty? I got about 3 weeks before the 1-year mark from when I got the truck, so if it counts as a stress crack it should be covered... but does it? I first noticed the crack in like mid-May and I do not remember being hit by and any rocks or debris but can't be 100% sure on that. You can feel portions of the "starburst" on the edge with a finger, but the crack extending away from it is within the glass and cannot be felt. These pics were taken on June 22 and the crack has grown about 0.5" since then. Any suggestions?

That looks like an impact crack. You’ll have a hard time getting that covered under warranty. Does your insurance policy have glass coverage?

I am sure the warrantee would not cover it. As Neversummer said, check with your insurance company. I had a smaller impact crack 6 months after purchasing my truck that my insurance covered without the normal deductible. They encourage people to go and get if fixed before it spreads to save a windshield replacement.

I do have comprehensive coverage so glass should be covered, but can a crack like this that's extending from the edge be repaired? I'm thinking of going to a place that does autoglass on Monday and seeing what they say is possible before contacting my insurance

Edge crack is going to be replacement only.

Contact your insurance company. They deal with this type of situation every day. It's what you have it for.
