Window Stickers are Back
In this thread(see post #1) we are tracking a few orders and we have VINs for some. I just checked all the VINs we have and Window stickers are not fully back...unless there's some technical and known reason at what point window stickers become available.
I just noticed a build date was added in green to my line. Is there anywhere I can get further info or even my build sheet?
My dealer has gone full crickets on me....
Your window sticker shows your blend date at the top. I took that as the build date. It's not exactly the same but usually within a few days of each other, and I didn't want to ask everyone to add a blend date AND a build date. Look at this informative post by @JoeBlowFord The color will be green if the date is in the future, and gray if in the past.
That was probably me.

Under "Item #" it shows: SPECIAL ORDER. Any idea what that means?

I see a fair amount of F150s up for sale by local Ford dealers have the following notation on the window sticker:
"THIS VEH. NOT INTENDED FOR SALE OR REGISTRATION IN US"
Is it legal to buy and register this vehicle in the US? I've seen them for sale in Florida.

That just means the vehicle is not properly labeled or configured for US consumers.
Bona fide Special Orders, when delivery is not accepted for whatever reason by the ordering individual, become the dealer's to sell on the open market, so it's not terribly uncommon to see a Special Order vehicle on a dealer's lot for sale to anyone.

It strikes me that when a window sticker has a manufacturer warning that a vehicle is not intended for sale or registration in the US, then the consumer has fair warning that Ford USA may not treat that vehicle the same as one intended for the USA market even lacking specificity about how that treatment may differ. And, given that's a warning from Ford Corporate, personally I'd be leery of any representations made by a dealer about the subject (a dealer selling that vehicle as 'new' in the USA is clearly working outside of the stated written intent of Ford Corporate). Remember, a USA Ford dealer doing warranty or recall work is always at the mercy of Ford USA Corporate for reimbursement of that work.
I'm not suggesting that there will be hassles, I'm just suggesting that it may be difficult to determine with any certainty if and to what extent hassles may arise over the long term of ownership.
Just for your consideration.
