winch bumper/mount that doesn't block intercooler?
This isn't what you're after, but it's what I'm doing: I have a PB, and I'm wiring up a Warn 3000ACI on a hitch mount with a 240V plug that just plugs into the generator. The limitations are that I only get 3000 lbs, and don't have a good way to mount it to the front of the truck. The upside is that it lives in the bed, I can run it indefinitely, and with a ****** block I can get 6000 lbs (which is still on the low side, but enough pull to do something useful). The struggle has been that electricians are deeply confused about how to interact with it, and have suggested some crazy and dangerous stuff (I had a guy come out who refused to do it and advised me to wire the winch ground wire to the truck's frame instead of the ground wire from the plug.....I declined his offer to look around the house for other issues).
I carry a winch in a reciever hitch mount in the bed of my truck. But I can only winch backward and have to remove it from the truck and lifting it is heavy. When the winch isn’t in the back I use a hi lift jack for winching and lifting. The hi lift has saved me from 20 mile walks out of the nevada desert 4 times
Moving the intercooler seems like a risky move for me as I have a Powerboost; companies that work with F150s generally can't tell if you if their stuff will fit. I would love a front hitch mount, but those grill guards are only made for Superduties.
torqulift makes one that is not to bad at reducing ground clearance, but the active air dam has to go.
i had one on my super duty that poppped out int the opening on the front bumper . but no one makes one like that for the 150 yet
Only way a FER can be fitted as far as I can tell so far is to remove the tow hitches and reuse the mounts for the FER. Then, if equipped, disabled the front parking sensors.
Downside, you’ll end up with a chunk of metal in front of your bumper.
