Hope you aren’t antsy man…it’s going to be a rough ride. It’s been five days since you placed your order (two of which were non-business days). There’s guys on this forum who’ve gone five months without a VIN. As suggested before my response, give it a couple of weeks and then reach out to your dealer for an update.
About three weeks.
The update this morning is that the truck has now shipped from Dearborn and is OTW. shop.ford.com says it'll be in dealer hands between the 11th and the 17th.

It should come from a ford.com email. They'll email you as soon as it I scheduled giving you a build date. Then they'll email you again with an ETA"

Yeah, I emailed my dealer this morning for clarification on it, here's exactly what he said "It should come from a ford.com email. They'll email you as soon as it I scheduled giving you a build date. Then they'll email you again with an ETA

My order was in and deemed "clean." It was for a King Ranch with the regular 3.5. At one point about 6 to 8 weeks ago I was told it was on indefinite hold unless I dropped the spray in liner, wheel well liners and ADDED adaptive steering. After stewing on that a week I went ahead and changed it to a Lariat with Powerboost and dropped the liners. No need to add the adaptive steering since it became moot on the changes. The dealer and I thought that would help but it's still crickets. I'm waiting for the call or email that others have gotten making my order a 2022. It's at that point I'll probably order a 2022 Tundra instead.

Our order was made on August 27th and is still Order Processing Unscheduled. We were thinking of dropping the drop-in liner and onboard scale with smart hitch with the hopes that maybe it would get a VIN and get scheduled. My salesman seems to think that will require a price change which in turn requires resend/resign documents that might move our spot back to the bottom. Does anyone have info about this? Does dropping features in hopes of getting scheduled move you to the back of the line? We've been waiting a month and no VIN (I know many have waited longer). Just worried that some of our options might be delaying us, but also don't want to be moved to the end of the line... not that it seems like we are even in line. My sales guys didn't know what the priority codes really meant he just kept repeating that we are priority number 1, all customers orders go before retail (I had asked if he could lower our priority from 19 to maybe 10). So I am not confident that he knows what is entailed or not in changing and order. Platinum PB Carmelo damping moonroof wheel well liner... Thanks!!

For what its worth, there have been folks here who posted about dropping options based on being advised to by salesmen, and it did not necessarily make a difference. Generally speaking, the consensus seems to be high model levels tend to take longer as they do not run those in bulk. The most recent batches being fullfilled and built have been XLTs and Lariats, many having PB and spray liners, which earlier in the year were thought to cause delays.
All that said....only FoMoCo knows their logic. Several waiting months with a few coming in only 8 weeks. The only thing consistent is the inconsistency....unfortunately.
