There are multiple reasons for the delay and we can't quite pinpoint them. There have been speculation and I am trying to narrow them down. So far, it's been:

Assistive Steering
Lie-Flat Seating
CoPilot 360 Assist / Active

I ordered mine in February 1st, received confirmation from Ford within a couple days, no VIN, nothing after that. I ordered Lariat 502A PB 4x4 with 7.2kW generator, and I believe mine is due to 360 Active. I do not want to see anything deleted due to chip shortage and prefer to wait instead. I have not e-mailed the dealer or called him, I am perfectly content with waiting. At least mine will be perfect.

Anything else that is causing the delay?

 

Ordered 2/11/22, Ford confirmed 2/12/22, but no VIN or contact since. Ordered 501A, PB, SCrew, 6.5, FX4, 7.2kW, 360 cameras, tow mirrors, spray-in bed liner, carbonized grey.

I just noticed that the tow mirrors no longer show up on the build web page as an option. I’m wondering now if that’s going to be a problem?

 

For Canada, I was told last week from my dealer that the Max Recline Seats and Interior Work Surface were causing delays on my Platinum (ordered Nov 13th, 2021).
I opted to remove the Max Recline but kept the Work Surface option.
No VIN yet but my order preview was updated to show 'JOB #2 ORDER' after I made the changes - but still showing Priority 19.

 

I ordered a King Ranch 4x4 PowerBoost and am still waiting, but the truck is finally shipped and in route. I had read here often that spray in bed liners caused a significant delay. My salesman told me he had never heard of that and talked me out of cancelling that option. Several months later, when he contacted Ford to find out why it had been six months without a VIN, they advised him it was because the spray in liner was causing the delay and that I should remove that option from my order. I did so, Ford changed my priority code from 19 to 2, and I got a VIN about four weeks later.

 

502A PB, Max Tow, FX4, Bed Util, 360 Camera, Copilot Active ordered mid-Nov, blend late Jan. No info on reason for hold....

 

Ordered mine on 1/31, received confirmation from Ford on 2/1. Have not received any other updates or notifications since then.

302A, SCab, 6.5' bed, 5.0, FX4, Max Tow, CoPilot 360 Assist, Connected Nav, 2KW onboard, bed utility, spray in liner.

 

I ordered 1/24, confirmation on 1/25.
Rapid red Lariat 4x4, 502a FX4 sport package, no sunroof but spray in bed liner, power boards and a bunch of other stuff.
Crickets since confirmation.

 

I ordered my truck on Monday, was told not to order the spray in bedliner as it was causing delays. Guess I'll go to LineX after I get it. I got a email confirmation the truck was ordered about 2 hours later.

 

I ordered on 1/20. Antimatter Blue Platinum 4x4, 701A, BAP, sunroof, trailer tow, onboard scales, CCD. I was told bed-liners of any type and max recline were causing a delay. I don't have a bed liner in my order, but thinking about removing max recline since it's just a nice to have.

 

I'm pretty sure all of the SCREW 6'5 orders are being held up by that 6'5" bed option.
