Default What module(s) interface to 360 cameras?

I am trying to find out which module(s) provide interface to the front camera & rear cameras (bed & hitch), along with any supportive diagrams that are available showing wire routing info, pin outs, etc. I have been unable to find anything in my searching so far, so thought I would reach out to the group as I am always amazed with the depth of info people have.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. Have a great day!

Not free, but for only $21.95+tax you can get 72-hour access to the complete Ford Service Manuals which will have all of the info you seek and you can save the pages of interest to your computer (must use a windows computer, not a mac or smartphone) as PDF.

Pricing - FordServiceInfo.Com (motorcraftservice.com)

That's really a heck of a deal and will allow you to pursue all of the various systems of interest (there are many related to the 360 cam); text sections with overall diagrams describing the system operation and module interfaces / operations, detailed wiring diagrams, detailed harness location diagrams, detailed connector diagrams and pin-out assignments .... it's all there.

@fiver Thanks for the info! I'll take a look at it. Unfortunately I use Mac but might be able to spin up a VM with windows. I was hoping to find a full PDF manual, but sounds like that is not available.

Nope, no simple PDF manual - the above resource uses extensive hyperlinking to allow you to, for example, click on a connector ID in a wiring diagram to see the details for that connector. It's much more extensive in it's interface linking (search indices, etc, etc) than just that example, a really superb resource IMO but I'm not sure if it'll be friendly or fully functional with a windows VM on a MAC, sorry.

All of that's really necessary these days because of the complexity of the systems - a PDF manual would require literally thousands of pages and cross-referencing between related items would be impossibly difficult.to follow.

Gotcha. I have had luck in the past with in using a Win10 VM, as long as it doesn't involve USB ports or external interfacing. But thanks for the specifics and warning. I may have to give it a try.

Is the tech manual just presented as web pages with the associated hyperlinks? Just trying to better understand why it is windows specific. Might be able to use Firefox/Brave or other non-Safari that supports HTML5 better. If this is an app that has to be installed, then I get it and all bets would be off... ;-)

Thanks again!!

It does not use your browser as it's interface if that's what you're asking. Sorry, I'm not enough of a.computer geek to explain further, you may just need to risk the $22 to give it a try. I think it uses a mix of html, pdf, and svg viewers in its inner workings if that helps, but I could be wrong???

No, no usb or external devices required other than your usual printer functions for hard copies (on my PC it just interfaces with all the installed Windows printers including print-to-pdf)

Here's a random sample of pages I recently saved to PDF from the Motorcraft online service manual, just FYI so you can see a few examples of the sort of data available. You can see the many hyperlinks in these pages.

Thanks so much! Exactly the kind of info I will be looking for. I will have to do some research and see if I can get it to work somehow on my Mac.

I believe there are two image processing modules: IPMA and IPMB. I *believe* the rear camera stuff is through the IPMB.
