I ordered an OEM STX grille from a dealer and ended up with this.

Never even seen this, any idea what it is?

looks kinda like the STX grille but not really at the same time

 

The STX grille has a different more oval shaped honeycomb and does not have that strip down the middle. Weird.

Engineering part # on it is ML34-8200-HEW
and
ML34-8200-JEW

 

Pretty sure that is a STX grill, it has the signature black bar that runs all the way from one side to the other underlying the ford emblem. I dont think any other 2021 have that.

I say King Ranch too, but maybe a rare paint-matched one and without the painted "buttons" across the honeycomb.

 

This is an STX grille, no bar across the middle.

 

I think that may be it.

Weird this is this is an OEM part from the dealer, and Ford doesnt offer a "paint match King Ranch" grille that I know of.

Now to decide if I want to keep it or get the STX grille? Its for my Lariat sport, I hate the OEM grille in it.

Guess I could lookup a King Ranch VIN and get the middle plastic part and snap on this one? Cant decide if I like the original plan of the STX grille or this one better now.

 

Taking a KR, painting it to match would be a fun custom item.
