Weird recent problems with voice activation?!

Default Weird recent problems with voice activation?!

I've had my 22 King Ranch Powerboost for just over seven months without any significant problems. My voice activation has worked flawlessly. I occasionally use the standard blue tooth connection, but usually use Android Auto. A couple of weeks ago a weird problem popped up and has consistently remained. When I press the voice button and say "text office" or "text wife" or text anyone, the response, after asking me for the content is "would you like to send (body of text) to .. and then it picks the same person in my address book. The person in my address book has a last name ending in K and appears to be the halfway point in my address book. After doing this several times, I deleted that person from my address book and tried again. Same thing, only this time it grabbed the next person with a last name of K. It does this every time now no matter who I ask the text to be sent to. For example I say "text wife" and it responds "would you like to send a text to John Kroger". It does the same exact thing in both the standard blue tooth connection and the Android Auto connection. Why is this suddenly happening after seven months? I've made no changes in my phone, my truck, or my approach. Anyone else have this happen?

when you deleted the name from phone, did you clear the saved names and info from truck?
when you delete a number or add, you can select in IIRC the bluetooth settings to auto download contacts each time or when the phone is added.
try deleting your phone from truck and then re connect phone to truck as if its a new phone

I didn't delete it. I did disconnect and reconnect, but that didn't help. I'll try a full delete and reinstall. I'm still puzzled as to what caused this.

Apparently your truck thinks you should be spending more time with John Kroger than your wife. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
