Default Weather-tech HP vs Weather-tech Original floor liners

Just wondering if anyone has experience with both the original and the new HP (high performance) line of weather tech floor mats?

In my opinion Weather Techs have always finished the interior off. They are a necessity to me, like a spray in bed liner.

Ive read the new HP line is more like the husky floor liner material wich I dont have experience with. Wondering if it's worth the extra $30 to upgrade to HP.

In my experience, Husky Weatherbeaters clean much easier, and are much more resistant to automotive chemical (oil, tx fluid, etc ...). I bought weather tech’s for my ‘18, then replaced them with Husky’s less than a year later because of puckering where a small amount of motor oil spilled on the back mat. Also, I couldn’t get the white dust from a gravel parking lot out of the pores of the driver’s mat.

Autoanything carries several brands of floor liners and have free shipping. FWIW, the custom fit front liners from my ‘18 perfectly fit my ‘21. Huskies are cheaper too.

I am trying to make the same decision. I’ve always used husky liners and really enjoyed them. But the new weather tech HP seem intriguing. I thought that they might be easier to clean because they don’t have a deep ruts like the Huskies do, however those same deep ruts might keep your foot out of a puddle.

I have the new HP's in my 2021. I went in to buy the originals at the WeatherTech factory store and saw the new ones on display. The HP's are more rubber like, similar to the Huskies. They are more flexible and quiet than the originals, and are not as slippery as the originals either. The fit is perfect. I'm really happy with them.

I have had 3 prior years F-150s, 2011, 2012, and a 2016. The last 2 both started out with Weather Tech, and both sets got replaced with Huskys within the first 2 yrs because the Weather Techs start out looking good. They seem to quickly show a lot of wear and tear from just routine entering and exiting the vehicle. They have all been my daily drivers, and were not work trucks. IMO, the Huskys offer a much better fit, front and rear, especially in the rear. I never could get a WT to sit properly, at least 1 corner always wanted to curl up. I just bought a 2021 KR last night. Huskys will be replacing the factory stuff shortly.

Is Husky or WT making the rear mats for trucks with the fold flat storage? Last I heard those are still not available.

Default Lasfit

I got the lasfit liners on have always used the weathertech. I really like them more than weathertech. Have great coverage and cost was about $130 cheaper. Will have to see if the cost savings = more wear and less resistance.

I had Weathertechs in my truck until recently. Replaced them with 3DMaxpiders. Front and rear. They contain water like the others but have more coverage and are nicer looking in my opinion.

here’s a picture of them.

Those are slick. what is the contruction/feel of them? are they like hard/durable plastic bottomed, and some sort of faux fabric finish top? or what?
