Default A View from Underneath

Folks,

I remember reading about the rusty differentials and axles while waiting for my 2021. Today I decided to take a detailed gaze beneath.

The things I saw that were different than my old F150:
aluminum drive shaft, more attention to frame rustproofing, A leaf spring with a fiberglass resin helper leaf, axle and differential well painted , and an aluminum wheel on a full sized spare tire (my old truck had a steel one that was always rusty and crusty). The spare tire is an 18" Maxxis AT-771t Bravo, made in Taiwan which I never heard of.

Looks pretty nice so far,

QuickRick

Maxxis is big in the motorcycle tire market. Your diff looks really good.

my 21 doesn't look that pretty underneath. Did they start coating the surfaces better after all the complaints they were receiving?

Somebody at FORD is going to get fired for not pre-rusting that differential.
