My '22 (base with STX) is just a few months old the and forward-center console connections stopped working. Tried 2 new USB OEM Apple cables and 2 OEM Apple USB-C cables and no power or connectivity.
The passenger side USB and USB-C connections work.
Anyone have that center one die on you already? Do they happen to have separate fuses?
Hey Mark, I am using USB-C on that forward center console, and recently it stopped working with CarPlay, but still seem to charge. Changing it to normal USB next to it, and everything seems to work.
However, if I plug AirPods case into that USB, it complains right away " please unplug - unsupported accessory"
Man, this is actually scary... it good old days, you just replace the charger plugged into cigarette lighter. Now what do we do?
I’ve had it happen a few times. Try a different cable.
I literally tried 4 brand new out of the box Apple cables and am getting nothing from either connector. Those same cables all work in the passenger side connections.
Thanks.

Yeah I like the hardwired Carplay connection so it's extra annoying. I'd hate to have to make a warranty appointment for something so small.
Is there an LED around the USB connector? The truck is new and I seriously have not driven much at night; if it has a light that is not working either.
Thanks.
No an expensive cable doesn't make a difference unless you're looking for something that holds up better to abuse, but you can usually go through five or six cheaper cables before it matters. The actual data itself is unchanged if it's a cheap or expensive cable.
As to your issue, you may have a problem with the APIM or the module itself might be dead. If you can pull codes see if it has a code for the USB ports. If you can't, you can send me the VIN and I can see if there is a code thrown.
You can try doing a soft reset on the head unit by holding power and seek forward. With my 2019 I had to do that about half the time when it was cold out because the USB ports would do this weird charge/shut off loop every few seconds until I did. Only ever happened when it was cold, probably a bad connector somewhere in the loop and the cold weather caused shrink somewhere in the chain and made it short.
Anyway, try the soft reboot. If that doesn't do it, most likely a dealer visit. I don't think your cables are an issue. To put a nail in that, if you have a flash drive and can actually locate some mp3s, throw a few on a Fat32 formatted flash drive and plug that in. The truck should recognize it and play the mp3s. But I don't think it will matter.
It may not mean that the port itself is bad though if you have something causing issues for the port. The above is actually from my truck, and it was being caused by a cheap wireless charger I had that developed an issue. My actual phone and that would connect fine. But the truck is sometimes able to detect a fault in the ports.
