I put a Console Vault in my 2023 XLT. I have two complaints with it. First the door is too small, but there's nothing I can do about that besides replace it with something else. The second is that there is no access to plug a charging cable into the USB ports inside the console from the outside. Has anyone here modified a Console Vault in order to allow a cable to pass through? Drilling a hole in the lid seems like the obvious solution, but I don't really want to do that. Any ideas?

 

I agree the door is way too damn small. It could have easily been a few inches larger.

 

I almost went with the Locker Down instead for this very reason, but I didn't want to lose the use of the little tray in the top of the console. Since I could get this tray for the Console Vault version I decided to go that route instead. I'm really surprised more people don't complain about this when posting reviews.

Tuffy's vault seems better, but access to the power point is important.

Some disassembly of the console is going to be needed. My only idea is to lead the power supply to a different spot using access from behind the plugs;
