Turbo question
Got a 2021 3.5 Powerboost and this may sound like a dumb question I just have no idea, but what is the pros and cons to only upgrading one turbo to a Garrett race turbo or something just better than stock instead of upgrading both? Is it ok to do this or will I screw the engine up with the different size turbos on each side?
really just want a good tune and basic things like CAI and intercooler and maybe later down the road go deep and splurge on a nice turbo but just wanted to know the ramifications of doing something like that
Running unbalanced turbo outputs seems like a really bad idea to me. These trucks are not serial turbo setups; they are parallel. In very simplistic terms, think of it like each turbo feeding one bank of the engine.
Unbalanced is not a good way to proceed. Save and do both together if that is your desire. For way less than the cost of a single turbo a solid tune can and does bring a 100 HP and matching torque jump. And you can tune 21/22/23 Ecoboosts. KM
This is obtainable with enough CASH!!
The Ford GT's 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine delivers 660 horsepower.

- Engine Type: 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6

I know of more than a few Ecoboost both 2.7 and 3.5 exceeding 600 HP with no internal work, the most engine invasive are injectors. These guys are into 11 second race ET's. The Ford GT 3.5 was built for longevity not HP,
