Just got an email from HP tuners saying they can now perform a one time PCM upgrade that will allow us to tune 21-22 MY F150’s. Both ecoboost engines and the 5.0 too.

I just ordered a second engine control module to send off to HP tuners. According to my local dealer there is currently a one month back order and the module for my 2021 3.5EB is about $300.
$100 to send the pcm in and wait for return, then 2 credits (? - I know some vehicles take 3 credits to license). In for $200-$250 to tune yourself versus around $500 for a tuner with a decent "canned" tune that some tuners will modify specifically for your truck and preferences if you send them logs.
I have been tuning my GM vehicles with HP Tuners for many years. I got in on a handheld tuner group buy for my 2015 3.5 eco. There wasn't a lot of info available on the speed density tuning for ecoboost back then, so I chose to go the canned tuner route. I was mainly interested in eliminating the sh!tty OEM "get it into the highest gear possible as soon as possible" transmission tuning. 5 Star tune worked out great for me.
Steep learning curve for HP Tuners DIY tune or decent canned tune for more money. No right or wrong answer.

lots of good tuners on HP Tuners. Nice to have more and more options available, Although im leaning towards SCT so I dont need to ship off the PCM
