Default Trunk release

2022 lariat. Why sometimes I have to push the tru k button twice to get the trunk to come down but most of the time I only need to press once.

Do you mean the tailgate? Mine always requires two pushes.

yes tailgate. Sometimes it is one if I was inside the car I think.

Mine was one when I bought it but I believe updates changed to 2. Inside button is 1.

Default tailgate release

My tailgate requires two hits on the button to release it also. I think the reason for this is because most of the time when people get out of the truck and lock it, they are not interested in unlocking or locking the tailgate. I believe Ford decided to require two hits on the release button to save wear and tear on the tailgate locking mechanism.

Mine is 2 presses on the remote and 2 presses on the inside.
