If no door was opened then the alarm would not activate. For added security get the Perimeter Plus add-on it detects shock and vehicle movement in addition to the doors being opened.

They tried to break the driver's side door...there are there small indentions (maybe a screw drive), but it wouldn't break, so they moved to the drivers side back door, which broke out completely. They unlock that door, got in the truck, opened the glove box (it was empty) and then grabbed my wife's purse which was in the front passenger side floor board.

My 2023 Lariat is showing the Advance Alarm Delete -$50.00. I went out and opened a window and then locked it up. I then reached thru the open window unlocked the back door and opened it. My horn did start honking and I received a message in my ford pass account also. At least it is some type of alarm system. Not the best but at least something. Not sure what the advanced security system is? It is ridiculous that we pay large amounts of money for these trucks and Ford can't even put a decent alarm system in them. Just my two cents worth.

As soon as the door opened with the doors locked the alarm should have triggered. That said I have not tested the rear but have done it before on the fronts. You can test by opening the rear window and locking the truck, then from the outside reach into the rear and use the inside handle to open the truck, does the alarm go off? If not someone without perimeter can also test. Not sure if you pull the lock up and then open from outside if the alarm will go off.

I guess I don't understand. Many of you have said it should go off opening the door from the inside. Why? That seems stupid. Breaking in, the person is going to use the outside handle after pulling the lock up. THAT is when the alarm should trigger. Going off from opening on the inside makes no sense.

I found this out when I left my dog in my truck. I went to the menu so it would ask me to enable/disable the motion sensors. When she stays in the truck, I disable the motion sensors (it prompts me to choose).

I am not sure, but I assume because the door lock was raised. If they were just going to go through the window, why would they raise the door lock? Also, shouldn't the alarm have sounded even if they went through the window without opening the door?
