Unhappy Trans Temp Digital Display

I did a short search but couldn't find anything about this. My 2014 F150 XLT had a screen I could call up to show me my transmission temperature in the display between the tach and speedometer. I found this very useful for when I'm towing my travel trailer. The sweep gauge at the top of the display for transmission temperature is pretty much a modified idiot light and not that useful. I now have a 2021 F150 XLT (base model) and am unable to find a similar digital display to access. Does anybody know where to find this display in the menu, or do I have to go with an aftermarket OBD2 device to display the sensor information? Thanks in advance!

You can get the transmission and engine temperature to show as digital beneath the gauge for each if you use Forscan. Nothing in any menu that I know of.

Yeah, Thanks for the reply! I went ahead and bought a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter and downloaded the Torque Pro app and now have the info I was looking for. Not sure why Ford removed that capability. Bad move on their part for all us folks that tow. Will definitely look into the Forscan stuff as I've heard a lot of good things about it.

I have a 2023 F-150 5.0, which OBD2 adapter would I need to read the ATF Temp?

I really wish you could select which gauges were in those spots. I would like a battery gauge myself. Did someone figure out a way to show the digital temps on the XLT clusters? Last I knew it only worked for the full digital clusters.

I understood this to be true as well. Only full digital cluster. I wish you could add it in the menu under the vehicle maintenance section or something.

You would tipcally need an aftermarket gizmo like ultraguage, scan guage or phone apps like torque pro or other similar
