I saw another thread from last summer saying that Trailer TPMS (as on Super Duty) is coming to F-150 in 2021, but not seeing this option specified on any build sheets. Is this capability hidden in the trailer camera option or somewhere else? Or delayed until later?

 

In the order guide, they are under DIO (Dealer Installed Options).

 

In the price guide, it lists the option code as AATAF.

 

Does this ‘dealer installed’ refer to the sensors that get put in the trailer tire valve stems, or to the receiving hardware in the truck? How does this work if you don’t have your trailer yet, but want to preserve the option of getting the TPMS in the future? Can the dealer put it on the truck if the truck didn’t originally have that option selected?

 

If the F150 option is like the Super Duty, you have to have the factory installed hardware/software system on the truck to use the camera and/or TPMS later. On the SD, that option is the 360 degree camera system. I ordered my SD with the 360. I bought the camera/TPMS kit later from a discount dealer and installed it myself.
