Tpms ?
I find on my current truck (14 F150) That 28 psi is ideal for full width contact and tread life. The new one I'll have to test once I have it set up to see what works for it. If it comes out close to the 14 being able to lower the alarm a little would help prevent false cold weather alarms. I have a mild tow tune on the 14 and was able to lower it with tuner, Not anticipating a tune on the new one right away. Jim (56k on duratracs and 7/32nds left, so it does make difference)
Interesting.
I’ve always stuck with manufacturers number until this time of year when I’ve upped TP by 4psi to accommodate winter induced loss of TP.
Saves me messing with it when the temps really drop in winter.
They were 38 when I took delivery last December, and I only just added more air a week ago.
Time to check and see if the center of the tires are more worn than the edges.

An old tire guy taught me when I was a kid to use a lumber crayon or similar item to mark tread, drive a short distance and check how it's wearing off. Adjust air accordingly. A bit of mucking around but it has served me well on a lot of cars.
