Default Tow rating?

Bought my truck pre-owned, and I am trying to determine its tow rating. Doing some research shows a ton of numbers on various spreadsheets, but they seem to only show max rating with the HD package. It is a '21 Powerboost FX4 without the max tow package (standard 9.75" axle). Anyone have a link or info on this? TIA.

I think tow is about 11,000lbs because you have the same axle as the max tow package, all PowerBoosts do. The Max Tow is pretty useless on a PowerBoost truck since it has nearly everything except the higher strength parking brake and whatever the reinforced bumper is.

Your biggest impact will be Payload, which is on the sticker inside the door jam of your driver door. That is your main concern, not tow rating, as you will nearly always run out of payload before you run out of towing capability with the PB. The PB has already lower payload because the battery weight impacts payload negatively compared to a comparable just 3.5L EB. You didn't say your trim level, but I suspect your payload is in the 1400-1600 range. With 10% on the tongue, with a 10k lb trailer, that would leave you with 400-600. Then subtract yourself and any gear, and maybe a passenger, and you are out of payload.

Thanks.

Interesting, did not realize the HD 9.75 was on all PB models. Trim level is XLT 302A with the heavy twin panel roof, Ill check the payload rating sticker see what Im looking at. 'Preciate the input.

Whatever it is, it is way higher than you could ever tow.

Yes, 4×2 models are all 3.55 and 4×4 models are all 3.73. OP, do you know if you have the tow package or not? That would also affect the rated towing capacity.

It does have a tow package: 2" receiver, Pro-backup assist and integrated trailer brake. The window sticker does not seem to show anything about any HD package, or MAX trailer, or anything noted above a standard towing setup.
