Hey guys,
I’m currently hunting for a conversion kit to turn my tow hooks into shackles. All I can seem to find is the Rough Country one (RS150) which looks great.. however it says 2009-2020.

Upon contacting them they said “it won’t mount” and gave no explanation. I just don’t see WHY, and I’m skeptical Ford changed the mount…

Can anyone advise if they will in fact fit and/or an alternative?

 

I can’t see ford changing the mounts and the tow hooks starting this year when they have been the same for many gens.

I would say buy them and try them. You would be helping out the forum.

 

Just bit the bullet and bought it… Should be in my hands Friday and I will let everyone know what happens!

 

They are the same.. my 21 has hooks from a 2018

 

Sometimes "It won't fit" actually means "I don't know, but we only list that part as being compatible with years (x) through (x)".

 

Did these shackle brackets wind up fitting okay? They seem to be a little lower profile than the oem hooks, im hoping these will require less cutting on my 2wd valance to get them to fit. Do you have a pic of them on? Trying to figure out clearence
