Default Todays New Oddity...

Started the truck and had no power steering for a few seconds while backing up. No codes, alarms, nothing.

3 seconds later all good and on my way.

Last week it was a message "Brake Error" The parking brake was lit with red until I stopped and shut it off and on again.

There could be a pending code stored in the system. I would call your dealer. They might well be interested in checking this out......

That’s odd, I’ve had it where the power steering doesn’t work for about the first half second after starting the vehicle, but not that long. I just assumed it took that long to engage the electronic power steering though.

It is going in on Wednesday to have the driver side seat cooling fan replaced as it provided message to...(It vibrates pretty bad)

I mention both to them.

I will chalk it up to module timing unless it happens again. Just like the day the truck started with the heat blaring in the summer with no change until I restarted the truck.

Could also be a long boot-up, the EPAS being electronically controlled and whatnot.
