I used Amazon knock off ones too and they came with self tapping screws. I used a small impact driver with the torx bit and lubed the screws with Vaseline lol.

M6x1.0 screw. Ford uses the kind with a tapered tip which makes them self driving or self threading
Buy hardware store screws and tap the hole to match.
Or buy my take offs that are in new condition with screws

Do they still use the "safety" screws that demand the special Tor-X bits with the hole in them?

The Ford ones are standard Torx, panhead, M6x1.0x25mm
