Default temperature control

More curious than an issue. When I have the temperature control set at 70 degree Does it control the air coming out of the vents or is is like a house furnace - full heat until reaches 70 degree in the cabin then maintains 70 degree?

Got our first sub freezing temps in Ohio. Have always kept the control at 70, but wondering when I park outside before going into work in morning I should set it to Hi. when I remote start in evening will it defrost the windows faster?

From my experience it’s more like a furnace at home, the air temperature coming out of the vents is what you set it to. Don’t know if set to hi will help morning warm up, it does regulate air flow on cold start and would only start blast when engine has warmed up. Also, blasting hot air on cold start can crack windshield (I learnt the hard way on a previous vehicle)

Use your auto button to set the maximum available fan speed.

Set the temperature you want. The further away from that temperature it is the harder it will try to get there. It will use more fan and more temperature to do so and it will gradually use less as it gets closer. Settting auto to three lights allows it to use max fan speed.
