I picked up a new '21 STX F150 on Friday and yesterday and this morning the dash screen has been doing this. Has anyone seen this before? Is there a simple fix (restart) or does it need to go back to the dealer?

 

Yeesh, I have not had that happen. My guess is there is a problem with the display itself or the video cable. You can try doing the soft restart, which is to hold power and seek forward for about 10 seconds, that will do a soft restart on the APIM and resolves a lot of small issues, like unresponsive USB, black screen, etc. But if that recurs often I would take it to the dealer for sure.

 

Tried the soft reboot but screen is still wonkey. Looks like it back to the dealer. Hopefully it just a loose connection and not a bad screen. Not sure if the screens available or if they are on backorder.

 

That’s one of the worst I’ve seen. Probably a bad IC component inside the APIM. Go ask the service department for a full Sync Assembly replacement.
