Default Sync 4 black screen

I have a 2021 xlt and the infotainment (sync4) screen is black. The logo screen comes on at startup and stays on longer than I remember (10-15 seconds) it doing before the problem started. After 10 -15 seconds it goes black. The screen works for the back up camera too but switches to black when I switch out of reverse. I've tried the button to quiet the screen to no effect. I've tried the manual reset (pressing the on/off button and fast forward button together until the logo appears) but it just goes black again after showing the logo for 10-15 seconds. I've also tried disconnecting the negative lead at the battery and leaving it off for several minutes but still have the same black screen issue.
Anybody else have this problem and had it resolved?

Your APIM may be going bad.

To confirm this, go out to your truck and start it. Once the screen goes black, next to the controls for your headlights are two buttons that control the interior cluster light brightness. Try turning it down then up. If your screen comes back on, then goes back to black after a few seconds, talk to the dealer about APIM replacement.

More that likely a failed APIM, i had a similar issue, my Screen would black out intermittently, dealer found a u3000 code for module internal fault, and replaced module, no issues after repairs.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like it's going to be another dreaded trip to the dealer. Hopefully they'll take care of the multiple recalls too.

The local dealers earliest appointment - December 26.
The next two closest dealers won't return my calls. Way to go Ford! Call me Xfordfanboi.
