For those that have used the swing out bed storage boxes, it looks like they will block the bed lights. I wouldnt put one on the left side because it would also block the light switch and bed outlet, but how much of the light do they block?
It does get in the way of the rear light and button a bit, but you can still hit the button and the light is cut down of course. But it's one quick pull up on the lever to have the thing swing out, so if light were critical you are just two seconds away from swinging out the left side case and unblocking the light.
I don't find the light to be that good to begin with, and it still "works", it's just more background lighting than direct. I have had the swing case for a little over a year now, and I would rather have my swing cases than having the light uncovered, but obviously each user has their own priority and use cases. Just really consider how often you need the light and if just swinging out the case on the rare instances it's vital would get to be too much of a pain.
If I can remember to I will try to get a picture of what it's like when it gets dark out and the light is on with the case in its closed position.
