Default Super Happy

Just got back from a trip, and I'm getting 21.0 mpg .
this is with a 5.0 xlt fx4 with 4.10 gears. I started in East TN mountains, through NC mountains, north Georgia mountains, and down to Pensacola Fl. Truck ran great. I do have the 36 gal fuel tank with a range of 700 miles according to the trucks information center. It's a very comfortable ride,, and I was able to stay in the saddle for an 11 hour day..
Zero oil consumption. Brakes are outstanding. Transmission breaking downhill also worked good. The transmission would kick down to 8th while ascending trying to maintain 60 mph. I could see that a 3.5 EB Would be better towing (torque wise only), but the 5.0 to me is just awesome. I know I made the right decision.

The 2021 Ford F-150 is literally is the best light-duty truck I've sat in. I agree with your assessment.

That's great!

Are you sure you don't have the 3.73 gearset? I thought the 4.10 was discontinued in 2009. I haven't seen the 4.10 as an option on Ford's Build and Price site.

Most of my driving is city driving so I average about 14mpg with my 5.0 but when I do take long highway trips I have always stayed in the 22mpg range. FX4 Lariat with the 36 gal tank as well

yessir you are correct. I stand corrected. It is indeed a 3.73. Thanks for that. I guess I was thinking of my 1 ton lol.
