I have a 2023 Platinum Powerboost purchased new on March 30. It has run fine until today, about 2500 miles.
Today I got in, pressed the start button. Dash lights came on. Truck seemed to be "started," though with Powerboost it remained silent.
Things were a little confusing while my grandson got into the back seat and had to open and close the right rear door a couple of times. (Not sure if this had any relationship to what happened next.)

Then the truck would not go into gear. Then I looked at the dash and it showed a red battery symbol on the right side, and a red truck outline with a vertical bar. So no go.
But the really strange thing was that pushing stop/start did not do anything --- in particular, it did not cause the truck to turn off.
During this whole time the truck was stopped in the driveway.
Finally we got out and went to an appointment. When the door closed, the truck gave its multiple beeps.
An houjr later, when we got back, the truck had turned its system off.
We got back in. Then it started normally, and drove normally.
Gremlins!

I will appreciate any ideas of what might have happened, or, especially, how to prevent it from happening again.
