I have a similar problem. A friend of my wife's is elderly and cant lift herself up very high. I bought a fold up step from Walmart that is 5 inches high. She is able to step up and turn around then stand on the running board then get in. I've seen these steps in various sizes and heights. They fold up and fit in the cab fine

I keep an Amazon folding 2 step to get into the bed and under-hood. Handy damn thing! Just never came across a 5 inch step, good catch! KM

I had a square version of a step like this when I was an OTR driver. After a few times of falling off the thing, I trashed it, never to be seen again. Maybe the rectangular version is safer, just be aware.

Ok, hear me out...what about a dog ramp? They make ramps for dogs to be able to get in and out of vehicles. I used one for a 120lbs old dog for a couple of years.

Unless it's fairly long and has a hand rail, I'm better off with a step.

If a search is dome for 2 step, stools, it will come up with dozen different configurations, some even with handrails.
Good luck.

Several of those side steps are great ideas, but don’t forget that Wife has to get on the step then turn around to sit on the seat. Pretty good chance that the step will be too small for her to pivot.

My wife is disabled and I did install the AMP Research PowerSteps. Easiest way for my wife to get in.

Deleting the level, and removing the rear blocks will help, but I'm going to suggest something else. Because I'd hate to undo a set up you have paid good money for.

Get a set of rv leveling blocks.

Camco make a rectangular set with an inch or so of rise on each one that would be easier for a person to use than the square type that I have for my trailer. You can stack them lego blocks. Amazon search for RV leveling blocks will bring up dozens of potential candidates.
You Sir, are a genius. I appreciate it very much. Taking out the leveling kit and what not is something that I did not want to do.

Maybe you can make a ramp with folding legs that simply stores in the bed. I thinking a 1/4 sheet of 3/4 plywood would work. Two feet wide by 4 feet long. Might be able to do 3 feet long. Just a thought.

I am a wood worker so i would try and make something before I modified my truck.
This does sound like a great idea, although not the greatest when it comes to wood working. Although if I did it that way, I think it would have to be pretty steep, or long to not have it so steep.
