So I noticed some paint damage on the front drivers door bottom front inside corner ( couple deep scratches like in soft paint). Appears to be where the factory machine picks up the door, well that is what I imagine anyway....can't be seen from the outside with the door shut, you have to look for it.
This truck is new ,200 miles.....anyway I also noticed the paint on the back side of the door seems to be just shiny white with no metallic like the truck outside. Perhaps the light was off, but has anyone else noticed this sort of thing.

I will just fix it myself, no way this goes to the dealer unless I stand there with the dent guy LOL., gotta get touch up paint anyway.

 

Same color on the wife’s ST Explorer . Left rear door up by the window trim. Go to the dealer and ask for a touch up paint pen if you’re going to fix it yourself. Shouldn’t have to pay for it.

Had another look in the sun and the color looks the same but has way less pearl metallic sparkle than the outside surfaces. It is as if that surface is painted differently.

Ideas anyone ??
