Default Speed limit display on speedometer

On my speedometer the speed limit sign is shown in the lower right at a fixed position.

I could swear I test drove a truck that had the speed limit sign on the "dial" where that speed is and shows your actual speed above or below it.

Am I missing a setting that accomplishes that? Mine is a Lariat with 502A.

I don't have a dial, but when the Cruise system is turned on, I get additional Speed values (and red X when Cruise isn't set) next to the Speed Limit sign.

I noticed on mine sometimes it is lower right and sometimes it is on the dial. Not sure why it changes, but it must related to some setting.

It changes when something alters the center the display such as using navigation. The tach and speedo circles get smaller and the speed limit moves to the lower right.

it changes to the lower right when you turn on the lane keeping assist. If you turn off the lane keeping system, then the speedometer is centered and enlarged

That makes sense. I've been playing with the lane keeping assist.

This is why it changes on my truck. The speed limit sign icon moves on the dial to match the posted speed limit. Set a destination in navigation and it moves to the lower right and the tach and speedometer get smaller. Then the smaller gauges up top separate and nav goes between them.

I didn't use Nav in my test drive and I don't think I've seen this demo'd. What kind of Nav info goes into the instrument cluster? And I assume this only happens if the Sync nav is used and not android auto nav?

When you use onboard Nav next turn info shows between the little gauges at the top. They move to the side to make space.

Yesterday when I was driving I noticed that the speed limit sign had moved to the bottom right of my speedometer. I wasnt using the Nav and I wasnt using any of the lane centering/assist features. Next time I started the truck it was back to the normal position of whatever location corresponds on the speedometer
