ground wire most likley
make sure the trailer is grounded with the white wire with the plug, and to a hard point on the trailer
truck is sensitive to ground issues.
Ground looks good. Just rewired the trailer and it's fine on a buddy's "dumb" trailer wiring. Trying this https://a.co/d/b6Ngm8C and will report back once it gets here.
Several of us on the forum keep getting the trailer lamp fault indicator, and my suspicion is that it's caused by LED trailer lamps. I don't desire to retrofit my '21 Winnebago Micro Minnie with incandescent lights and didn't want to splice into the existing wiring to add resistors, so you gave me an idea. After searching, I found a similar adapter to yours but for 7 to 7 pin. The thing is, my fault is intermittent.
my trailer is all led,
i had a similiar problem with it on the 21 250 and it would see it then not see it over and over
plugged it into my wifes edge and it worked great
i forgot to mention after that i found the trailer breakaway battery to be beyond toast, replaced it and everything was fine
then fast fwd to the 22 150, worked perfectly since day one,
this trailer was also towed with no issues by my 2016 expedition, and it was all LED at that time as well
i rewired the complete trailer again in february all new grounds at each light and main harness. ford is very touchy about the ground . around here lights only last about 2 years, it sees a lot of off pavement use
hope it helps
