Is there a smaller key available for the XL? The fob is huge in my pocket and I can’t have the keys dangling outside of my pants pocket during the day. I’m guessing that there is some sort of embedded chip in the key that has to be there, but I can live without the remote lock/unlock.

 

According to eBay's compatibility info, the Strattec 5923293 transponder key can be cut and used with a 2021 F-150. I have one for my 2015 XLT.

 

Thanks. Ebay doesn't say it's compatible with a 2023 though and I don't know if the keys are the same.

 

This would be great if it works. I never use the buttons on the fob and it would take a lot less space.

 

My Xl fob the key folds up so it isn't bad at all.

 

Sorry to revive this thread, but I am in the same boat but would also like to have a fob to match that key. Could something like this be programmed to work with the modern trucks (2015+)?
