Shifting delays while at rest problem
Anyone in here know of a problem with the shift indicator (and actual shifting) when moving center console shifter from position to position?
I thought I was accidently not moving the shifter enough notches (as from REVERSE to DRIVE) but after a few incidents, I realized I can't be making that many mistakes, especially just in the last week after over 3 years of ownership.
I watched the indicator light on the shifter today & noticed the indicator light seems to have a delay when moving from various positions - not just a light indicator problem as the transmission does NOT shift to indicated position without a delay.
Now that I know what's going on, I'll play with it a bit to see if it continues.
Truck is a 2021 Powerboost with just under 17,000 miles on it.
I've got to schedule the truck for the rear half shafts / center bolts recall - might as well wait a bit to determine if I have a shifter / transmission problem before doing so.
Did a little searching but any time you mention "shifter problem" I get tons of posts about shifter problems while the truck is actually going down the road - not when shifting at rest.
Thanks
