Every 6 or so times that I start up the truck, the screen stays black for about 30 seconds as if turned off. I also have no backup camera. Then it appears to be going through a reboot sequence, and then it's fine. But for the first 30 seconds or so, if I'm backing up, I have to use the mirrors and my eyes, which is difficult since I have a bedcap/camper shell. Either that or sit there for ~30 seconds while the whole thing reboots. I'm old and really depend on the backup camera.

In the picture you can see that I'm in reverse but have no backup camera.

Anyone else have this happen? If so, were you able to resolve the problem?

backup camera not working

 

I have had that happen once or twice on my 2024 XL. I just write it off to SW glitch or bug. Some start up sequence gets delayed or some timing/interupt interferes etc. It definitely is SW based for sure.

Do you really only average 9.5mpg?

 

I reboot quite frequently.
