Default Running on battery

I have a 2024 Lariat with the V6 Turbo hybrid (Powerboost) and the 7.2kw generator. Lately I've playing with it in running in electric mode. I've notice that when stopped, and I proceed, that if I am real easy on the pedal, she'll stay in electric mode. Give the pedal a little umph and the engine starts. The transition is so smooth from one to the other that I don't even notice it unless I am looking at the RPM's. While driving, I'll take my foot off the pedal and she change to electric. Then I ease back up to the desired speed and she'll stay in electric mode. This has worked at speeds between 30 and 60mph. I can engage the Cruise Control and she'll stay in electric mode. Come to a hill, the engine comes on. I've been getting as much as 28mpg around town. Just wanted to pass this along

Great on your MPH!
Living in a rural area it's fun playing the hills trying to keep the powerboost in electric mode.
In Normal or ECO or (retirement…lol… mode), have been getting 23-24 mpg, hopefully the mpg will increase a bit with the summer fuel.

with an OBD II device you can watch the state of charge in %. You can also use the coach which shows charge, electric, or hybred operstion. The coach shows how much charge or electric is available. You can actually see the electric available decreasing as you use it. The battery cycles between about 40 to 65 or so % in usual operation but will get considerably higher with a long downhill. I'm looking forward to using 120V to see where in % it cycles how quickly the battery recharges.

I've seen that when I tried EV Coach. I keep her in the normal driving mode 99% of the time. I know what you mean with the hills
