Default Reverse Level Question

2023 KR FX4. Was going to reverse level it last night but taking out the blocks and came to find out there aren't enough threads on the current u-bolts to work. So I'm going to order the 2wd u-bolts and new locking nuts. Is there a trick or specification on how to mount the lower bracket? I assume you just want it to match the angle of the u-bolts and then have the same amount of threads showing on both bolts? I also noticed my truck has some sort of rod attached to the leaf springs, I'm guessing this is for the auto-leveling headlights - do I just leave this alone and let it calibrate itself?

Lastly - why would you use lowering shackles versus removing the blocks?

One you should never reuse u bolts... SOunds like you did not do any research before starting this project until you were already into it.. You are probably going to have to shim it to correct your pinion angle after removing the blocks and i will almost bet the rear will sit to low now.. Did you get measurement's on the u bolts you ordered as they may still be to long.

You won't need to shim removing just the blocks. Many have done this including me with no problems. The 2wd u bolts will work. Yes you want to tighten them evenly. The nuts should also be replaced since the have the nylon in them for locking but you can use some blue locktite.
