Dealer installed a RETRAXONE MX cover prior to my taking delivery of a Platinum with a spray-in bed liner. Like the cover, no issues until just before leaving for an extended trip. Everything stowed away in the bed and the locking mechanism fell apart. I was running late and the dealer was on the way out of town so they pieced it back together and we departed. Arrived destination and I don't suppose I'd ever closed the cover with the tailgate down - it didn't stop until about 1 ft of it extended beyond the tracks, which meant the entire cover was out of the canister. I threaded it back in and everything appeared copacetic. Am I missing some stops or are you supposed to be smart enough to not roll it back too far with the tailgate down?
No, it should stop. They f#$%^ed it up.
Based on my OEM retrax:
Should be 2 stout delrin/nylon stop pins on either side. Plus end caps?
Call Retrax first to the get facts, then dealer.

Sry was working hard. Just got some pics of my Ford logo cover. Works awesome so far.
Much obliged. Dealer must have decided someone else needed the stops more than I did.
Great taste in music. For several years we made an annual pilgrimage to the New Orleans JazzFest and out of all the top shelf performances, his is my favorite.
