Default Replacing the exhaust tip

I bought a black F150 with the sport appearance package and I'd like to replace the chrome exhaust tip with a new one, I noticed the chrome one looks like it is crimped on, has anyone replaced theirs? If so how simple was it

It has tabs on th snide that pinch to the tailpipe. Take 2x4 and you can pound it off from the back, no damage. Before I went to the dual exhaust I plastidipped mine black.

I just pulled the one off my 2020 last weekend before I was going to attempt the 2022. The tip has internal spring clips. I used some foaming penetrating spray lube, a 10" length 2x4 and a hammer to tap the exhaust tip off. Once the springs hit the lube I was able to turn the exhaust tip and it was fairly easy to remove. I had thought about using a strap wrench to help to turn the exhaust tip but I left it at work, it would definitely help. I caused no damage to the tip and it took about 5 minutes to remove.

Nice! Thanks for the tips, no pun intended, on getting the tip off!

I used a strap wrench. Turn the exhaust tip with the strap wrench a couple times and you will be able to twist it off by hand.

You can turn it by hand and wiggle it off while turning. I did this when I plasti-dipped mine a couple of months ago.
Just push back on while turning to replace it.

I have the Sport Appearance package as well. The black exhaust tip doesn’t seem to match the carbonized grey color of the wheels, decals, etc. anyone found a dark grey exhaust tip?

Outside of painting yours to your liking, the below is one of the only tips that seem to fit due to Ford's choice of using ~3-1/8" on the tailpipe:

Its black and will match other points on the truck, like the B-pillars.

Removing stock tip took two taps with a hammer & punch and it was off. I have this tip and love it. Great upgrade from the stock silver one and only took 15 minutes to install. I would buy it again.
