Default Replace Factory Power Running Boards ?

Looking at Purchasing a 2025 Platinum which has the factory power running boards. Problem is they don't drop down anywhere near as much as the Amp boards I installed on my 2021 Tremor. I was wondering if anyone has replaced the factory power boards with an aftermarket set of power boards. Wasn't sure if there would be any issues in doing the swap. I assume there is no way to adapt the factory boards to deploy down further, since that is limited by the brackets.

Biggest hope I have for you is that the factory power plug matches the AMP plug. Anything to avoid replacing a wiring harness.

Don't quote me on this, but you may be able to use the F250 brackets which allow the boards to drop down a little further. If you decide to go with the Amps, I might be interested in your factory running boards.

Give yourself a few days to get use to the factory boards.

My issue was reverse left a Platinum with power boards and Added AMP power boards to a 22 302a XLT. It took awhile to get use to the lower height of the AMP boards.

Also with the lower Amps on a stock ride height F150 4x4 sometimes the height clearance on curbs can be a issue.

As far as myself the height of the running board doesn't matter, it's my wife has the issue. She has a problem with her left leg also arthritis problems. The difference between the factory and Amp boards is 2.5 inches and that is comparing them to my Tremor that has the front leveled and 34" tires and a stock 2025 Platinum. Really don't understand why they designed these new boards with such a difference. The factory power boards offer almost no difference from the fixed version.

What I would like to know is if I buy the Platinum (after test driving the Platinum the wife said she'll get used to the difference in the running board height). But if she can't do that would I be able to install a set of Amp power boards without issues due to the truck having the factory power boards. Just thinking of all the crazy electronics these trucks have now. I know the electrical connectors are certainly going to be different than the other, so I'll have to use the wiring that comes with the Amp boards.
