MacF-150

My 2021 F150 is chiming all the time if the door is open when the truck is off. Even when you approach it in the morning, you first open the door and it starts the repeating chime.

Any thoughts?

I am an idiot..... The light switch was in the "On" position instead of the "Auto" position.

I was almost going to suggest this the other day and wish I had lol. I have hit mine with my knee and not known it.

mine "dings" and it is NOT the light switch. The key is NOT in ignition. any ideas?

Yeah mine did exactly same thing other day and it was driving me nuts- no" lights on" warning on screen or anything. Finally figured it out- my knee must have turned light switch **** getting out and I did not realize it.

IS the headlight switch not in off or auto position if equipped? That's the only time I've ever heard mine chime when off

Same exact thing happened to me today. The chime was driving me insane. Came here, did a search, found this thread, checked the truck .... problem solved. I thought it was a software update that created the problem. Turns out it was my left knee.

That's the biggest problem with all the different warning chimes these trucks now have (and why I turned several of them off). Used to be if you got out of your car and you heard a warning chime, you either left the headlights on or left your key in the ignition. Now its a guessing game - and easy to become "chime weary" and just start to ignore them.
