Default Remote startup

22 F150 xl with 101a package.

Is there any way to turn on defroster /blower when starting the truck remotely from the Ford app? Does not seem to be but maybe I am missing something?

Thanks

I personally use auto in all the settings, seems to work best that way for me.

REMOTE START SETTINGS

  1. From the settings menu, press Vehicle. See Center Display.
  1. Press Remote Start Setup.
Switching Climate Control Auto Mode On and Off
  1. Press Climate Control.
  1. Press Auto or Last Setting.
Note: If you switch the auto mode on, the system attempts to heat or cool the interior to 22 °C (72 °F). When you switch the vehicle on, the climate control system returns to the last used settings.
Note: If you switch the last settings on, the system remembers the last used settings.
Heated Seat Settings
  1. Press Seats.
  1. Press Auto or Off.
Note: If you switch the heated seat settings on, the heated seats turn on during cold weather.
Note: You cannot adjust the heated seat settings when you remotely start your vehicle.
Heated Steering Wheel Settings
  1. Press Seats and Steering Wheel.
  1. Press Auto or Off.
Note: If you switch the heated steering wheel settings on, the heated steering wheel turns on during cold weather.
Note: You cannot adjust the heated steering wheel settings when you remotely start your vehicle.
Remote Start Duration
  1. Press Duration.
  1. Press the duration you prefer.

The Auto settings have never worked on my 21. If I set it for auto, and remote start my truck, the heated wheel or seats do not come on.
And the heated blows really low setting.
My 2013 was set for auto, and it would turn everything on and the defrost would come on high, so it was nice and warm when I get inside after 10-15 minutes.

I have been relegated to use last setting and having to make sure the heater fan and temps are set to high when I get home and turn off my truck. And thn I have to get in it and wait for the wheel and seat heat to come up to temps after I press the start button.

These trucks are smart enough to know there isn't enough heat for the defroster, so it waits until there is sufficient heat in the system before turning it on.

How long do you have to wait? I have remote started my truck and let it run for 30 minutes and the defrost has never come on.

My wife's 300C did this; if it couldn't provide heat, it didn't try.
