Default Remote Lot / Chip Hold

Does anyone have any information on the status of vehicles in this condition?
Are they wrapped and in storage or are they sitting in an open lot in Michigan?
Are our trucks just sitting exposed to the elements in the Michigan winter without being moved?

Hopefully someone that works with Ford can address this. The mix of winter elements and salt surely can't be good for a vehicle that hasn't been moved, washed, or waxed in over 3 months. Will the vehicles be in "new" condition upon delivery or will they only be "like new" after all that time has passed?

Currently on month 7 of my wait for the truck and don't want a total dud rolling up come delivery.

They are sitting in lots uncovered. I live in metro Detroit have driven by At least 3 different places outside of the factory lots that have 100s of f150s sitting there. Ive also passed by lots full of other manufacturers trucks as well (GM) so it’s no different for them.

I'm pretty sure they don't salt the storage lot

trucks are still in new condition if they sit in a lot, just like the dealer. They will be delivered in new condition. Hopefully you have a dealer that also does a full inspection of a vehicle before delivery.

I reckon that would be an issue if it was constantly moving around, but it's parked so there is no chance salt will get to it.

If there’s snow in the lot, they may salt the lot.

If they salt the lots it won’t be enough to effect the truck plus we really haven’t had any real amount of snow in the last month or so.

Are the lots paved or dirt?

Would rather they be parked on paved surface than sit on dirt where moisture would be an issue..

Mine was built Jan. 12/13 and has been sitting in one of these lots since then....

Two legitimate concerns would be rodent damage to wiring/insulation and having flat spots on the tires. Well, sun fade as well.

When I lived in Michigan, roads and parking lots were salted, obviously. Because there were moving vehicles and pedestrians.
Seems like a lot of work to clear a partial parking lot, move all 100 trucks, while doing donuts and throwing salt all up under the vehicle, just to clear the rest of the parking lot and salt it for no reason.

all the ones I’ve seen are paved. One is a parking lot of an old commercial warehouse. Others are actually in the parking lot of some ford corporate offices, and an old hotel. So it’s all paved.
